When I began this journey to write and publish my first book, I started to practice blogging by sending emails to a small group of family and friends (thanks for humoring me!). I don't imagine I'll ever be a major contender in the blogging world, but that's okay. I want to share a bit from one of those first email blogs, dated April 3, 2014.

“I had voices in my head when I went to bed last night. This character just won't shut up, and some of her sisters are pretty talkative, too. There are twelve of them, and they all have distinct personalities (you can probably guess what fairy tale my first story is based on).
So, besides having a second story that's fairly clear, I've got two more possible ones lurking in the background. I wasn't anticipating a series, but I'll go with it.”

Fast forward to now. The Firethorn Crown, book one of the Firethorn Chronicles, will be available soon—probably early October. I'll be revealing the cover before that; but until then, here's a teaser. :)
