Ten Things You Should Know
About Audrey Rich
A poem in the eighth grade five minutes before the assignment was due; I was totally surprised when it won a prize among the entire school.
2. At what moment did you feel like you could say, “NOW, I'm an author?”
When I received my first print copy and my book was live. What a feeling!
3. Have you ever looked yourself up on Google? If so, did you find anything surprising?
I do look myself up on Google all the time but I haven’t found anything surprising.
4. Do you write using a keyboard, pen and paper, or both?
I usually use my laptop but if I don’t have it with me I do use a pen or paper or my voice recorder.
5. What project are you working on now?
I’m working on a short story for an Anthology and self-editing Thinking About Love, the second book in A Stonehaven High Series. I also think about my latest Nanowrimo project entitled Riding Into Love.
6. Have you always liked to write?
Yes, I’ve always enjoyed writing. Whenever there was an opportunity to write I would volunteer, even if it was about accounting.
7. Do you write/read every single day?
Yes, since I love to read and I have so many ideas I always try to do both. Occasionally I’m stuck on a scene so I pick up a book or two and it normally helps me to find my grove again.
8. What is one of your favorite beverages/snacks while writing?
I usually drink either water or tea. I just returned to drinking coffee after a year so maybe a cup of coffee with vanilla and cinnamon and a splash of chocolate.
9. Describe your writing space as it is right now. What would be your ideal writing space (if it's different from this)?
I rarely write on a desk. Usually, I write on my bed on a portable laptop desk or standing up with my laptop on my tall dresser. I would love to have a treadmill desk.
10. Who are your 3 favorite characters in your book(s)? [Please indicate which book they're from if you have more than one.]
In Masquerading Our Love my favorite characters are the main character, Thalía Reynari, her BFF, Maria Santiago, and their friend/protector from all other males, Frank Torres. I love them so much that I wrote them into my other series which takes place ten years later
